April's Favourite

April is a busy month - at least for me. I don’t really fancy this month cause no public holidays. T_________T How do you see if a person is lazy? People like me who always dream of having more holidays. =="

Since there isn't much happening this month but just home-stayed with internet browsing during weekends. I managed to stumbled upon this Daily Dose of Prettiness. It is a beauty edu-tainment (so-called from the website introduction) site featuring hair + makeup how-to's, nail trends, skincare, tools and many more.

Hello... Good Morning ~ Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie ~

We all know that breakfast is a very important thing. No matter how busy we would be, breakfast - the first meal of the day should not be missed. There is a saying that goes, "Eat breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Queen and Dinner like a beggar" . It means that we should eat a lot for breakfast, moderate for lunch and lesser for dinner (this indirectly helps to control your weight)

On weekdays, I have limited to prepare myself for a self-made breakfast. Hence, I usually have a cup of oat with milk or Milo. I will then eat some bread at the office. However, on weekends, I tend to prepare something more filling and tasty (at least for me).

This is super healthy - Strawberries

Hope that I will get the chance to eat sweet strawberries on my trip to Korea end of this year. What we have here are mostly sour. I ended up dipped them in honey to minus the sourish taste. 

Levain boulangerie. patisserie

I went to KL with my bestie, Ai Ling last January. Our purpose is to shop for H&M and Uniqlo (not available at Penang at that point of time) On our final day, our host brought us to Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie. 

This is located off Jalan Imbi and they served french-style bakery and cafe where I find all the pastry were so tempting. I didn't manage to take lots of pictures of it as I am too hungry at that time :-(

I literally took a lot of food and put them back after I realize it too much. I am not going to finish it. Haha...

The fruit salad (mango,lettuce,raspberry,strawberry and blueberry) came with sauce where I mixed it with the fruits. There is the chocolate mouse that I shared with Ai Ling. I missed it lots...

I want to go back there again... Oh yes!!! 

Hair Care ~ Panasonic Ionity Hair Dryer and Liese Super Hard Hairspray

Going out for dinner in 2 hours time. Worry of flyaway hair, unruly hair, frizzy hair, curls that went straight after one hour - I don't like all of these. 

My solution is Panasonic Ionity Hair Dryer. I need to use a dryer every time after washing my hair. Thus, this is good for me. It has a healthy quick drying nozzle. Comes with 1600W and has cool mode, 2 speed settings and a foldable handle - which is also great for travel.

I read in VIVI magazine - October issue and learn from it on how to blow dry our hair. With the correct techniques, we will be looking very pretty. :-) If you have beautiful make-up and dresses but unruly hair, you wouldn't look presentable and pleasant at all.

Favourite item on my shopping list now!!

Aside from hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and mask is equally important. If we perm, colour or straighten our hair, without any hair care, we are killing them softly =="

Current style - we are very much into Japanese styles and you could see the styles are having them thick at the bottom. Gone are those thin and limp hair. 

In order to minimize myself looking like a "lioness", I option for straightening shampoo that minimize frizz. One of my favourite is this "DAY by DAY hair fitness". My hair looks great every time after shampoo and mask. Once a week, I will option for Deep Cleansing Shampoo from Tresemme that remove sebum, dirt and oil on my scalp. And on alternate days, I will use my Satinique shampoo and conditioner. 

As for Ma Cherie shampoo, still could not get it from Penang yet. I only have the travel size and it so loved that I don't want to finish it so soon... Haha...

Cycling Day

Today!!! It's a very cooling day... It has been raining since midnight and haven't stop ever since... Even though I love this kind of weather, I am thankful that it did not rained two weeks ago.

I haven’t been doing for years!!! The most amazing part was I did it early in the morning when the sun has not risen – and its Saturday!!

How could this be me??? LOL… I am actually proud of myself ^_^

Another group picture... I am not really familiar with places and I could tell how bad my sense of direction is... It's good that I joined the group for some town tour in my bicycle.

Most of the heritage place have the walls painted in artistic pictures. I got to know that the artists are using good quality of colours that would neither stain nor destroy the heritage walls.

One more of the artist design.. Superb nice!! 

I rented a small bicycle for a petite person like me... Haha. It cost us RM 10 per bicycle per day. Sounds reasonable to me though.

We headed to Chew jetty for some photo shoot. Saw some nice place for selca. I tried to do my full split but mission failed!! I haven't been working on the split for a while. Lol...

Anyway, need more practice for a better picture next time.

After the activities, we went food hunting. Searching for Penang famous - Laksa, Char Koay Teow, Chendol, Ice-Kacang and many more!! 

Remember to eat them all when you are coming to Penang!!!
